The Institute is an artist-run project that, through "experimental means, sets questions, scrutinises and probes the institutionalisation of contemporary art".

06.09.2015 | News info Eva Evrard wins Berkley residency Eva Evrard will be taking up residency at Kala Institute of Art in Berkley in February 2016 to develop a new print project. Kala Institute of Art was founded in 1974 in the former Heinz Ketchup factory in Berkley where it now uses 15200 square foot for its various studios and extensive print library.

Founded in 1973, SAW gallery is an artist-run space linked to the Ottawa School of Art (OSA) supporting socially and politically engaged art, with a focus on performance and media-based art.

17.04.2015 | News info Open Call: Basement Project Residencies Every year, GNF Gallery offers four in-house residencies for artists and curators wishing to develop an original research within its space. These residencies take place over six weeks, between the gallery's main exhibitions, and give artists the opportunity to explore new ideas or aspects within their work, as well as benefit from an outstanding location and studio space in Brussels. For the gallery, it is also a wonderful opportunity to meet new artists, engage in challenging conversations and support compelling projects. The gallery is now accepting proposals for two more residencies for the period December 2015-January 2016, and April-May 2016.
